Successful Easter Family Picnic!
The 1st of this year's planned events was the beloved Easter Family Picnic held on Easter Sunday, April 9th. Co-hosted by event chairs Myra Miranda, Aa Riguerra and Bert Salon, the FREE popular pot-luck event was attended by over 65 families with children aged from infants to teens.
The program was hosted by Aa Riguerra who started the the event with a pre-recorded message from President Jacqueline Ferrer-Martinez who was unable to attend. It was a happy reunion of sorts for past and current Fil-Am members who gathered to relax, reflect, and enjoy the day. Food was in abundance, but so were the fun and games played by adults and children alike. One former President who was especially happy about the gathering Art Caranto, was quite pleased saying, "This is what Fil-Am is all about. Simple gatherings with friends and family."
A big congratulations on the success of the event to the Easter Planning Committee co-chairs with a shout out to helpers Gianne Carpio, Ronnie Tejada, and Art Caranto.
A message of congratulations and encouragement from former President Nic Montebon, " Congrats again, team for a successful event! It's a great event to get your feet wet. Onward and forward"
