Christmas is known as "Pasko" in the Philippines and we, the Filipinos, love celebrating the happiest season of all. We celebrate Christ's birth with many traditions by putting up Christmas decorations as early as September.
We put up Christmas trees, lights, nativities, parols, and you will hear people caroling on the streets along with Santa's jingle bells and "ho ho ho's."
Please be sure to RSVP to the event so we can ensure seating and gifts. This event is open to all Fil-Am of SCV Members and their families.
And what is Pasko without the sweet smell of Philippine's favorite Christmas delicacies? Like the banana leaves burning from cooking bibingka, the buttery smell of puto bumbong, the steaming salabat tea, and hot cocoa coupled with our famous arroz caldo soup to keep you warm.
This Christmas at Fil-Am of SCV, we will take you back to the Philippines with these delicacies, traditions, and festivities! Vendors will be present to showcase these delicacies and prepare for some Christmas shopping! We will bring Christmas gift ideas to you.
And don't forget to bring your favorite dish to share for an extravaganza potluck dinner.
We'll have carolings, singing, dancing, and yes, good old Santa Clause will be there to ring in the Christmas spirit with gifts to the young and the young at hearts.
See you there ..... Maligayang Pasko!
