Sweets To Feed - Feeding our Front Liners

During this unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic crisis, Fil-Am Association of SCV's 2020 Board of Officers rose up to the occasion and came up with this amazing idea of holding a campaign to feed the front liners. With the current strict social distancing and limited gathering, what a better way to do a campaign than to sell the people's favorite and delicious sweet treat, Krispy Kreme.

On the first month of the launch, Fil-Am generated an unexpectedly high revenue, thanks to the perseverance of the Fundraising Committee and the entire 2020 Board of Officers and Trustees, they surely made this campaign a huge success!

Mayor Cameron Smyth and Council Member Bill Miranda strongly supported and encouraged Fil-Am to continue this campaign! Mayor Smyth along with his daughter Kenley, picked up his order while Board of Trustee and Fil-Am of SCV's past President, Myra Miranda delivered the order of Council Member Bill Miranda.

Fil-Am of SCV patrons came out and supported the fundraiser, most of them pledged support to our monthly campaign. Fil-Am thanks our families, friends, and patrons who showed unwavering commitment to every projects that we do. Kudos as well to the Fundraising committee headed by Chairperson Fe Villamor and the fundraising team, Andy Pabalan, (the experienced proponent of Krispy Kreme fundraiser), Joyce Maglalang, Eleanor Chona Dullas, Jessa De Guzman and Myra Miranda for their commitment in assuring its success! A special mention to Ms. Candy Pabalan who together with Andy orchestrated and coordinated the project which is ongoing every first Sunday of the month until December.

The funds raised from this campaign will feed the dedicated men and women who are working in the industries that provide healthcare, peace and order, and essential necessities for the SCV community, as well as add to the scholarship budget of the Association.

Officers of the City of Santa Clarita Sheriff's Office, who are working over drive, is the first recipient of the project. Current President Andy Pabalan and Board of Trustee and Past President Rhod Resella, delivered boxes of pizza to the City's main Sheriff's office in Valencia. Fil-Am's small token of appreciation found a way into the hearts of the sheriffs. To the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff, on behalf of our Santa Clarita community, Fil-Am SCV honors and thanks you for your service.

Covid 19 may have upended the many community intended activities the current Board planned to hold but we have managed to go around the situation to fulfill our Association's purpose to engage in various outreach program for our community.

Please continue to support our efforts, contact any of the committee team members to place your Krispy Kreme orders. We will do this every month until December. Pick up is every first Sunday of the month and last day of order is every last Thursday before pick up.

Help us serve our community. Your support is our strength. We can do this together.
