Let's all gear up, heat up the grill, bring your favorite dish, your chairs, blankets and your huge smiles, it's time once again for Fil-Am of SCV's Family Easter Picnic BUT we have have to change it to SPRING FAMILY PICNIC due to weather conditions.
Yes, it's that time of the year again to celebrate the very essence of our Association. Fil-Am started with a small group of Filipinos living in vast valley of farmland, the Santa Clarita Valley. Getting together to celebrate Easter was one of the many ways these Filipino parents were able to instill the value of a close knit-family ties to their children and grandchildren in a fun and exciting ways!
Now 40 years later, the very same family, the Bertulfo's, Imperial's, Montebon's, Caranto's, Carreon's, Obnial's, Resella's, among others, have managed to continue to engage not only their children, who now have families of their own, but also majority of the Filipino-Americans living in the city of Santa Clarita.
So come and join us and adapt and continue this legacy to your own family, be a part of this fun and exciting family event and experience our traditional Filipino game like the pabitin, sack race and egg toss, enjoy fresh barbeque grilling, singing and dancing, and of course, what is Easter without egg hunting.
So mark you calendars and we'll see you at the Santa Clarita Park on Sunday, APRIL 7,2024 @ 12 PM.
