2017 President
Emie R. Carrillo, is a proud mother of three children: Leah, Lemuell, and Angelo and happily married for twenty eight years to a very supportive husband, Leomar. She is also a grandparent to a very smart 4 ½ years old boy, Niko. Emie has been a resident of Santa Clarita Valley for nineteen years and is currently working as a CFO of one of the largest pet door manufacturer and distributor in the US. She graduated from the Philippine School of Business Administration with a BSBA degree, major in Accounting. She has been a Realtor for almost twelve years and also works as a Career Agent / Financial Adviser, 2017 President of Fil-Am Association of Santa Clarita Valley and currently serving as the Auditor of the same organization. She believes that community involvement is an important aspect of life. She is happy to share her time and resources with Filipino-American projects to meet the association’s goals in creating heritage awareness and granting scholarship funds to deserving college bound students.

• Jose Rizal Scholastic Achievement Awards Night for Fil- Am of SCV Scholars and awarded the Philippine Scholar through Hospicio de San Jose in the Philippines
• SCV’s Touch a Truck event (Volunteer)
• July 4th Parade Participant, won Best Decorated Float and 1 st Place for Non-Commercial Float
• City of Santa Clarita declared October 2017 as the “Filipino-American Heritage Month”
• Fil-Am Association of SCV partnered with SCV Sister Cities Program to promote Philippine culture and support projects in Sariaya, Quezon
• Annual Cultural event – Mutya ng Lahi, Evolution of the Filipino Costumes
